PatikaTag™ Terms of Use

Welcome to PatikaTag™.

A PatikaTag is a unique digital identifier linked securely to your PatikaLink account. Each tag contains a unique identification code that allows anyone who finds your registered item to notify you securely through PatikaLink without revealing your personal contact information.

PatikaTags may be available as QR Code Stickers, Waterproof Stickers, NFC Smart Tags, Metal Keychains, Luggage Tags, Pet Tags, Vehicle Tags, Corporate Asset Tags, Premium Patika Black Tags, and future PatikaTag products introduced by PatikaLink.

Every PatikaTag must be activated before it can be used. Activation requires:

• A registered PatikaLink account
• Scanning the PatikaTag
• Assigning the tag to an item
• Confirming ownership

An inactive PatikaTag cannot be used for recovery services.

During registration, you may provide item name, category, description, photos, colour, brand, serial number (optional), and emergency contact (optional). Providing accurate information improves the likelihood of successful recovery.

PatikaTags are designed for a wide range of personal and business items.

Important Documents

For official documents, PatikaTag should generally be attached to a protective holder, cover, sleeve, lanyard, badge holder, or document wallet, rather than directly to the document where doing so could damage it or conflict with issuing authority requirements. Suitable uses include: National ID holder, Passport cover, Driving licence holder, Student ID holder, Employee ID badge, Medical card holder, Wallet or card holder, Birth certificate folder, Land title file, Insurance document folder, Academic certificate folder, and Business licence folder.

Each PatikaTag belongs to the registered account holder until ownership is officially transferred through PatikaLink. PatikaTags may not be shared between multiple users without updating ownership through the platform.

If you sell or permanently give away an item with a PatikaTag, you should transfer ownership through the PatikaLink platform before the new owner begins using it. PatikaLink may require verification before completing a transfer.

When someone scans your PatikaTag, PatikaLink does not automatically display your name (unless you choose to), phone number, email address, home address, or any confidential personal information. Instead, the finder is directed to a secure PatikaLink page where they can notify you safely.

When your PatikaTag is scanned, you may receive scan time, approximate location (where available), item information, finder message, and secure chat requests. Notifications may arrive via push notification, email, SMS (where available), or in-app notification.

Patika AI may assist by matching lost and found reports, guiding finders, helping owners verify their items, detecting suspicious activity, and providing recovery recommendations. AI is designed to assist but does not guarantee recovery.

Users agree to:

• Attach PatikaTags securely.
• Keep registration information up to date.
• Report lost or damaged tags.
• Use PatikaTags only for lawful purposes.
• Protect tags from unnecessary damage.

You must not:

• Copy or clone a PatikaTag.
• Tamper with the QR code or NFC chip.
• Register stolen property.
• Register items you do not own.
• Mislead other users.
• Use PatikaTags for illegal activities.
• Attempt to bypass PatikaLink security.

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

If your PatikaTag is lost, stolen, damaged, or no longer working, report it immediately through the PatikaLink app. PatikaLink may deactivate the affected tag and allow you to purchase or activate a replacement.

Some PatikaTag features may require a Premium subscription, including:

• Unlimited registered tags
• Advanced scan history
• Family sharing
• Business asset management
• Enhanced recovery tools
• Priority customer support
• Additional security features

Premium features may change over time.

Organizations may register multiple PatikaTags for employees, equipment, company vehicles, inventory, school property, and government assets. Business administrators are responsible for managing organization-owned PatikaTags.

Where required by law or offered by PatikaLink, PatikaTags may be covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Accidental damage
• Misuse
• Unauthorized modifications
• Damage caused by improper installation

PatikaTag is designed to improve the chances of recovering lost property. However, PatikaLink does not guarantee that every tagged item will be found, every finder will scan the PatikaTag, every scan will result in successful recovery, or every notification will be delivered without delay.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PatikaLink shall not be liable for losses resulting from failure to register a tag correctly, failure to activate a tag, damaged or removed tags, device or network failures, user error, or criminal acts by third parties. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

PatikaLink may improve, replace, discontinue, or update PatikaTag products and related services from time to time. Where practical, users will be notified of material changes.

By purchasing, activating, registering, or using a PatikaTag, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these PatikaTag Terms of Use. PatikaTag is designed to help protect what matters most by making it easier, safer, and more secure for lost items to find their way home.
